"Every dirty thing is pretty. Every pretty thing is dirty."

Two videos that work as prequel and aftermath of the same pink party, and a stated attraction to body horror, taxidermy and ultra-feminine imagery going off.

Lonnie Gunn is from New Jersey and based in Brighton. Her line about mould, to The Line of Best Fit, is the clearest statement of intent any artist on this page has given us:

Every dirty thing is pretty. Every pretty thing is dirty.

And the expansion:

Every beautiful thing I've ever loved is also so gross. It's just that those always coexist.

The two videos are one video

Best Fit describes it precisely: "The videos for 'I Miss Everything' and 'Babytooth' find Gunn in a sickly-sweet party setting filled with pink balloons, a cake with toy horses as a topper, and delicate decorations. In 'I Miss Everything,' flagged by Gunn as the prequel out of the two videos, she appears alone at the celebration, and eventually trashes the room around her leading to the aftermath in 'Babytooth.'"

Two promos that share a set and run in narrative sequence is a small, cheap idea that makes an EP feel like a world instead of a playlist.
